8:31 p.m. - 2005-05-04 I am writing here today because I don’t think that any one of us can say that we do not know, or know of, someone who is fighting or has fought a battle with cancer. It effects more people each year and it is becoming a harsh reality for so many of us and our families. I have found a way I can fight this disease - through the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. I am dedicating my walk this year to all those I know who have cancer right now, have survived, or have sadly lost the battle. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life raises hundreds of millions of dollars each year in the fight against cancer. Millions of people will walk or run through the night to raise money to fight this terrible disease. Relay For Life builds awareness of this dreaded disease and makes a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer HERE AND NOW! My goal is to raise at least $1,000 to help fight cancer this year. I am asking for your support and your help to find a cure. Any donations are appreciated by me, my family, and millions of other’s affected by cancer. EVERY donation is tax deductible and brings us one step closer to finding a cure.
